Salman Khan's 'Sikandar' which released on Eid, March 30 has not met expectations at the box office. The film had a dull opening of around Rs 26 crore on day 1 and even on day 2, which was Eid, it ended up making Rs 29 crore, according to Sacnilk. The movie managed to cross Rs 100 crore on day 6 which is not expected out of a Salman movie. While fans of the superstar are not happy with this film, his recent gesture has now won hearts. According to a latest report, Salman met his fans after the failure of 'Sikandar' and asked for their feedback about what they expect from him.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Khan called fans at his house Galaxy Apartments to meet them. The news portal has quoted a source saying, "The meeting was attended by Salman Khan, his manager Jordy Patel, business head Vikram Tanwar and fans. The fans openly voiced their displeasure about Sikandar and that his other recent films have not been up to the mark. They also showed their trends on X and how they have been incessantly tweeting as they care for him big time and want him to make better choices.?br/>This source further told the portal, "Salman was moved by the love and care from his fans. He confessed that from the nascent stage, he felt something was off about Sikandar and that it was not the way a big film should be made. However, he promised that he would now do films that would make his fans happy."
Apparently, fans complained to Khan that there wasn't just something wrong with the content of 'Sikandar' but even the marketing was not at par. Fans were also upset with the Sajid Nadiadwala's wife Wardha Nadiadwala's insulting tweets to the fans which they showed to the actor. Further more, fans have requested Khan to work with film-makers like Ali Abbas Zafar and Kabir Khan who bring out the best in him.
The source also said, "Salman Khan promised to take all these aspects into consideration. The meeting lasted for an hour. It's unprecedented to see a star of this stature meeting the fans in this manner and listening to their woes. Yet again, Salman Khan proves that he’s a one-of-a-kind star. With this correct approach, there’s no doubt that he’s going to bounce back with a bang. It's only a matter of time.?br/>
