Rajesh Khattar has a heartwarming message for step son Shahid Kapoor on his birthday

As Shahid Kapoor turned 38, birthday wishes poured in for the actor from family and friends alike as they sent him sweet messages. One of the sweetest ones though, was from his step father Rajesh Khattar, who wrote on Instagram, “From being a good looking teenager to the most good looking young man. From being the most promising newcomer to an award winning mega star, from being a loving husband to a doting father, ur journey has been nothing short of inspirational.U have evolved to be a complete performer & an exceptional human being & make all around you super proud.” Accompanying the heartwarming note were two pictures of Rajesh and Shahid Kapoor.

Shahid is known to be close to his half siblings — Ishaan Khatter and Sanah Kapur. Pankaj Kapur and Neelima Azeem separated when Shahid was very young. Neelima went on to marry Rajesh Khattar while Pankaj Kapur got married to Supriya Pathak. Neelima and Rajesh, too, separated after some time. Despite the sensitive nature of the situation, the family members share a warm relationship, often catching up at important functions. In a recent appearance on a chat show, Shahid mentioned how he pleaded his mother for a sibling after she remarried, after which Ishaan was born. The two half brothers are known to share a close bond and are often seen together.
