Amol Gupte bullies his son

Partho says his dad, Amol Gupte, eats up his food in real life too, just like in ‘Stanley Ka Dabba’
Amol Gupte bullies his son
Partho, aka Stanley, is not like your regular nine-year-old. The son of filmmaker Amole Gupte and film editor Deepa Bhatia, he plays the protagonist in today’s heart-warming release, Fox Star Studios’ “Stanley Ka Dabba”, and it looks like the boy will leave an impression on everyone who watches the film. Here are some of Partho’s gems:
Are you a self conscious actor?
Not really.
1x1 polls
Actually, I didn’t even realise that “Stanley Ka Dabba” was a film. I was shocked when I realised our weekend acting workshops had become a film.
Are you ready for stardom?
Yes and no. I don’t know whether I will become a star. Let’s hope that people like the film. One must not get overconfident. Daddy will get praise because people say his work is so good.
Is your father a bully in real life, like he is in ‘SKD’?
Sometimes, when I make wrong decisions, he bullies me. He also bullies me when I waste food. He eats it up.
What kind of movies do you enjoy?
Comedies. I loved “Dabangg” and “Three Idiots”. My favourite international films are “Children Of Heaven” and “Colours Of Paradise”.
Amol Gupte says
This is the easiest film I’ve made. People ask me how I “handle” children. One doesn’t handle children. They are not mangoes. One just learns to trust them and earn their trust. My film has brilliant child actors like Numan Shaikh, Abhishek Reddy, Sai Sharan Shetty, Walter D’Souza, Leo Crasto and Monty Sarkar. I’m proud of the fact that we made this film only on weekends (between 9.30am and 1.30pm) and the children didn’t miss a single day at school. I love children and I hope everyone who sees my film loves them as much as I do.”
