Goose, the American Jam Band, cut ties with their band member Jeff Arevalo as he does not align with the core values and the behaviour in his personal life. Earlier this year, Jeff decided to step away from the touring to focus on his ‘mental health and personal issues.’
The Departure
Goose shared the unfortunate announcement on
Instagram where they mentioned that the band did not anticipate such an unexpected situation and another change in the band. Previously, the former member Ben Atkind parted ways with the musical group and was replaced by Cotter Ellis.
“However, it is clear that this is the only way forward as we remain committed to upholding the values that define our community, particularly when it comes to respecting others and creating a safe environment,” the band continued in the post.
Goose concluded the post with an affirmation of navigating the challenges, and growing together as they relish through the next chapter while being grateful to everyone who’s supporting through the journey.
“This past tour was an unexpected challenge to navigate, but through it all, the four of us forged a deeper connection on and off stage. We’re feeling inspired to continue growing as a unit as we move into this next chapter, and are deeply grateful for everyone with us on this journey,” Goose expressed.
Why did Jeff Arevalo take the break?
In Jeff’s post shared on February 3, he expressed that the musician would like to step away from the current touring to reflect on his personal issues and look after his mental health. While Arevalo adores making music, he stated that he needs to heal, reset and prioritise his well-being.
Additionally, Jeff wished a stroke of luck to the band and thanked the audience for supporting him throughout the difficult journey, appreciating their support and understanding.
