TANCET marking scheme and exam details
TANCET 2025 follows a specific marking scheme. Candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer. However, a penalty of 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect response. Furthermore, if a candidate shades multiple options for a single question, it will be considered incorrect, and 0.25 marks will be deducted as well. This scheme is designed to ensure fairness in the evaluation process.

MBA cut-offs and counselling process
After the TANCET results are declared, business schools will announce the MBA cut-offs. These cut-offs will be determined based on several factors, including the number of applicants, the number of candidates who appeared for the exam, the seats available, previous year’s trends, and the exam’s difficulty level.
Following the release of the cut-offs, Anna University will also release the TANCET MBA counselling schedule. Candidates who have cleared the cut-off will be required to register for the counselling process. It is important that they carry all necessary documents, as seat allotment results will be announced after the final round of counselling.
Candidates are advised to stay updated with the official website for the latest announcements and detailed instructions.
