The Spectacular Now fame, is writing and directing the film, reported Entertainment Weekly.
Eggers' novel focuses on a young woman who is hired for a big job at an online monopoly called the Circle, which links users' personal emails, social media, banking and purchasing with a universal operating system.

The novel turns into a thriller about the perils of life in a digital age where privacy is obsolete. Paxton, 60, was most recently seen in
Million Dollar Arm,
Edge of Tomorrow and
Nightcrawler. He also starred on the History Channel mini-series
Texas Rising and the BBC TV movie
The Game Changers with Daniel Radcliffe.
