Cast as an integral part of the new Na'vi clan called the Metkayina, which is spearheaded by
Fear the Walking Dead's Cliff Curtis' Tonowari and Kate Winslet's Ronal, Bailey Bass stars as Reya.
In an interview to Digital Spy, Bailey Bass states that actions speak louder than words. She explains how
Zoe Saldana and
Sam Worthington went out of their way to welcome the new cast and her parents on the sets of Avatar:The Way of Water.
"I think it was more their actions than really anything they said. They immediately treated us like family," Bass explained.
What made Bass feel at ease was that they instantly made her feel like an integral part of the Avatar family, as she recalled a moment on the set: "I think one of the sweetest things Zoe did was, she hugged our parents. Like, not only did she hug us, but she welcomed them, like they're a big part of our tribe."
Reprising their roles for the sequel Saldaña returns as the Na'vi princess Neytiri and Worthington returns as Jake Sully, the human-turned-Na'vi.
The much anticipated Avatar: The Way of Water, which is made on a budget of 250 million USD, releases in cinemas on December 16, 2022.
