Joker Movie Review : Disturbing and Intense, yet Undeniably Brilliant
As per the latest report on the Boxofficeindia.com, on Thursday, the film has managed to rake in Rs 3.75 crore on its second day at the box office. The film fell approx 35% on its second day which is normal after a national holiday. The film has managed to collect a total of Rs 9.50 crore in two days at the box office.
'Joker' had a limited release across the Tier A cities and multiplexes, so the film hardly registered any collections from the mass centers. Despite the limited reach, the film managed to eat on to a healthy chunk of collections, effecting the first-day figures of 'War' and 'Sye Raa'.
The much-anticipated film as well as Phoenix's outstanding performance has been hailed by the audience and has received a thumbs up from the critics as well.
Helmed by Todd Phillips, the film follows the life of Arthur Fleck (essayed by Phoenix) as an aspiring stand-up comedian and his transition into becoming the Joker. Fleck will be seen as a man struggling to find his way in Gotham's fractured society.
Apart from Phoenix, the movie also features Robert De Niro, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.
