The Bhojpuri film industry is happy about the 7th Bhojpuri Film Awards being hosted in Lucknow
For the first time, the stars of the Bhojpuri film industry will walk the red carpet in Lucknow, as part of the annual Bhojpuri Film Awards to be held in the city on November 16. One of the most popular stars of the Bhojpuri film industry, actor Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua, along with actors Rani Chatterjee, Sambhavna Seth and Surendra Pal made an announcement about the event, recently.
The State Tourism Minster, Om Prakash, also graced the occasion as the chief guest, and said, ���������Bhojpuri is the language of 80 crore people in our country and it���������s good that this time the award function will be held in Lucknow. The government will lend all desired help to promote Bhojpuri cinema in the state.��������� The minister also announced a subsidy of 30 lakh for all Bhojpuri films completely shot in Uttar Pradesh. The chairman of the Bhojpuri Film Awards, Vinod Gupta, said, ���������We are very happy to bring the award to Lucknow, apne logon ke beech. The award function will happen in thirty categories and each category will have five nominations each. Bollywood and Bhojpuri actors are expected to attend the ceremony in November.���������
Meanwhile, actors and producers of the Bhojpuri film industry are happy with the awards being hosted in Lucknow.
Why not Lucknow?
Bhojpuri Film Awards had been happening in Mumbai for the past six years. This year we are bringing it to Lucknow. Since many years the talks were on to let the awards happen in this UP-Bihar belt, and now that it finally is, I am very happy. Will form mass connect
I don���������t know about others but I can tell you Lucknow is one of my favourite cities and the awards will give me another reason to come here. The awards happening in the capital of UP will ensure in forming mass connect. I mean it will be a different experience to see the awards happening in UP and Bihar, which are predominantly Bhojpuri speaking areas.

It should have happened earlier I���������m very glad that the awards will be hosted in Lucknow this year. I had initiated the Bhojpuri Film Awards with Vinod Gupta seven years back and I feel proud that it is finally coming to Lucknow, which is home to Bhojpuri. It will generate a lot of goodwill and respect for Bhojpuri cinema. In fact, I feel, this should have been done a long time ago.

It is an honour for us that the awards will be held in Lucknow, the most beautiful city of Uttar Pradesh. UP aur Bihar Bhojpuri ke gadh hain, toh Luknow se achhi jagah aur koi nahi ho sakti thi inn awards ke liye. It makes all sense to host these awards in Lucknow because it will be a very good platform to promote Bhojpuri cinema in the state.
