NEW DELHI: The counting of votes on 19 assembly in
Manipur was delayed as several returning officers had the responsibilities of more than one constituency.
State chief electoral officer
Rajesh Agarwal said there were only 41 counting halls where counting of votes for 41 seats was taking place and once the counting is over for these seats, the process will start for the remaining 19 constituencies.
Agarwal added that the results for all the 60 seats would be out by 6.30pm or 7pm .
As per the latest trends available, ruling
Bharatiya Janata Party (
BJP) was leading in 22 seats, NPP 6 and
Congress 2, and Others were leading on 13 seats.
