A video released by Gurgaon Police shows the accused apologizing, saying, “Galti ho gayi, kshama kijiye” (We made a mistake, please forgive us).
The incident took place on Sunday when the four accused, travelling in a car, got into an altercation with a group of bikers. As the situation escalated, the men physically assaulted the bikers and vandalized their motorcycles, causing significant damage to one of the bikes.
Hardik Sharma, one of the complainants, alleged that the attackers were under the influence of alcohol and demanded compensation for the damages, which he estimated at Rs 4 to 5 lakh.
“The accused were drunk. They began beating Gaurav and Abhinav. When the rest of us tried to ride away, they hit me on the head with a baseball bat and damaged my bike. I was saved only because I was wearing a helmet,” Sharma said.
