2 siblings heading to exam centre killed by speeding bus

Agra: Two minor siblings were killed on Tuesday after being hit by a speeding UP Roadways bus in Kasganj district, police said.
The incident occurred around 10am near Mohanpur village under the jurisdiction of Kasganj Kotwali police station when Sumit Kumar (15) and his sister Gunjan Kumari (14), residents of Afzalpur village, were on their way to Rani Avanti Bai College in Mohanpura to take an exam.
"A speeding bus coming from Hathras and heading towards the Kasganj bus stand hit the duo, killing them on the spot," said additional superintendent of police Rajesh Kumar Bharti.
He added, "Gunjan was a Class 8 student, while Sumit was in Class 9. The bus driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. Teams have been formed to apprehend the accused. A complaint from the victims' family has been received and an FIR is being filed against him."
