G-Dragon unlikes post on Kim Soo Hyun amidst controversy involving late Kim Sae Ron; Fans reacts

Almost a month after the tragic passing of South Korean actress Kim Sae Ron, actor Kim Soo Hyun found himself at the center of controversy when his romantic relationship with her was made public. Following a statement from the late actress’ aunt on the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute, several brands have distanced themselves from him, casting uncertainty over his ongoing projects. Earlier, reports suggested that the Queen of Tears actor might not participate in the variety show Good Day, hosted by G-Dragon. However, it was later confirmed that he would still be part of the show.
Amid the controversy, BIGBANG’s G-Dragon’s recent social media activity has sparked curiosity online. He initially liked an Instagram post by a Chinese media portal claiming that Kim Soo Hyun wouldn’t attend the filming of Good Day. However, he later unliked it, which didn’t go unnoticed by fans. The sudden change in his action left netizens puzzled.
Some fans speculated that BIGBANG’s G-Dragon might have liked the post by mistake or without knowing the full context. Others pointed out that he has adjusted his social media activity before, making this incident nothing new. As quoted by Koreaboo, a user on The Qoo questioned, “Fans were saying he liked it without thinking, so why did he unlike it?”
Another said, “So he wasn’t just randomly liking posts… he actually unlikes them too?"
“Sigh… GD is just taking all the heat. Did he have a close relationship with him? Did he cast him? People were criticising him even before the news about the recording came out, so let’s not act like they only started after the recording. Good Day is a variety show hosted by BIGBANG’s G-Dragon, which premiered on MBC TV on February 16 and is also available for streaming on Disney+. The show features a cast including Jung Hyung Don, Yoo Dae Joo, and Jo Se Ho. Special guests from the South Korean entertainment industry, such as Kim Soo Hyun, Jung Hae In, Lee Soo Hyuk, and Hwang Kwang Hee, have also made appearances.
