Shark Tank India’s Anupam Mittal breaks stereotype by choosing a unique middle name for his daughter Alyssa; says, “We believe in equality”

Shark Tank India judge and entrepreneur Anupam Mittalrecently took to social media to share a heartfelt moment from his personal life. While posting a picture with his daughter, Alyssa, Anupam opened up about the thoughtful decision behind her name.He mentioned how he chose amiddle name for his daughter and his thought behind it.
Anupam shared a wholesome picture with his daughter whole opening his heart out. He shared how he chose her middle name and his thought behind it. He wrote, “When my daughter, Alyssa, was born, we wanted to ‘decide’ her middle name. Traditionally in most parts of India, that’s not how it’s done. The father’s first name automatically gets passed down. And in many cases, especially for daughters, it later gets replaced by her husband’s name.It's a quiet tradition.So quiet, in fact, that most don’t question it.But we did.
He further wrote, “And instead of Alyssa Anupam, we named her Alyssa Anantara. “Anantara” - which means limitless. Rooted in Ananta, another name for Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom.
It’s a small thing. A name. But also…not so small. For us, it was a way of saying >
