Donal Bisht: I have more depth in my craft now and that will help me sustain in this industry
Actress Donal Bisht was last seen in the TV show Dil To Happy Hai Ji in 2019 and thereafter she did Bigg Boss 15. Post that, she moved to web shows and recently even shot for an international film.
Ask her why she hasn't taken up any TV show in a while and she says, "It is a conscious decision to work in other mediums besides TV. I still get calls from TV shows and I am grateful for that, but I feel one needs to grow as well. I needed to come out of my comfort zone and that's what I did."
She shares how during the lockdown she decided to focus on herself and spend more time on learning different things. "That's when I started working towards my other goals," she says. "There was a patch in between when I didn't take up any projects because I was working on myself. I am not a trained actor, and I wanted to learn about the craft in detail. I did workshops, dance classes, swimming and martial arts and everything that can help me grow as a person as well as add up to my craft," she adds.
The actress feels more confident about her craft today. She shares, "Now I am ready for everything that comes my way. I binge-watched film after film and all these have helped me. Meditation calms me and it helps me with my acting skills. I have more depth in my craft and that helps me to sustain in this industry where there is a lot of competition. I am very happy with where I am today."
