Two-Time WWE Champion Set to Receive Massive Push in 2024 Following RAW Netflix Premiere

Returning from a hiatus after a brutal feud with CM Punk, Drew McIntyre is set for a major push in WWE as it transitions to Netflix in 2025. His recent unscripted comments and impressive work have positioned him as a top main event attraction, potentially leading to a WWE Championship challenge against Cody Rhodes.

Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has had the most intense rivalry of his career during 2024 against CM Punk, who is a returning figure in the company at this point. The feud culminated with Drew losing out in an extremely brutal Hell In A Cell match, followed by a brief hiatus.
He’s currently back in the company and has set his sights on Cody Rhodes, and probably the WWE Championship too. He’s currently one of the top stars in the company, and will be receiving a massive push in the new year.

What’s in Store for Drew Mcintyre in 2025 After WWE RAW Moves to Netflix?

As of now, the motive behind giving him a push is unclear, but for a Superstar of his stature, a push into the limelight is something that he completely deserves. This was revealed in a report by Wrestle Votes Radio. The report read as follows:
“So with the recent return of Drew McIntyre, we were told from a source that WWE feels as though McIntyre is on the cusp, if not already there, of becoming a quote, significant main event, upper echelon attraction, and they attribute some of this to his work over the last 10 months with CM Punk.
A source states that McIntyre’s viral comments on Busted Open Radio last week were not scripted in any way and that WWE loved the reaction to what went down. We are told McIntyre will be a huge focus as we head into 2025.”

If this is to be true, then McIntyre might definitely be a part of the title run picture in the Stamford-based promotion. But considering that he’s directly shot after Cody Rhodes, he could be challenging for the Undisputed WWE Championship itself.

Alternatively, there’s a different angle that this feud could take, and we could see him team up with Kevin Owens, while Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes form a team of their own. This bit is just speculation for now. But since the report says that he’ll be receiving the main event push, then it’s likely that it’ll be a singles push only and may have nothing to do with a teammate or a tag-partner in WWE RAW.
