Mickie James is returning to in-ring competition after months

WrestleCon took to their X to announce that Mickie James will return to the ring at one of their events. James is slated to compete against Maki Itoh at the Mark Hitchcock Memorial WrestleCon Supershow on April 17. The event take places during the WrestleMania 41 week and will mark Mickie's first match since September 2024. Moreover, Mickie James has only wrestled three times in the last year, so that makes the excitement to see her wrestle even higher among the wrestling fanbase.
WrestleCon tweeted, "Its finally happening.... Maki Itoh v Mickie James at the Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow."

Mickie James competed against some of the biggest names in the business, such as Lita, Trish Stratus, and Melina, during her stint in WWE. Following her exit in the late 2000s, she joined TNA Wrestling and became a top wrestler of the Knockouts division. James came back to WWE for a brief tenure in 2017 before returning to TNA.
James then journeyed on the final run of her TNA career and even became the TNA Knockouts Champion, which came to an end due to injury. However, last year, she returned to WWE at the 2024 WWE Bad Blood PLE. Recently, James has been seen as a coach in WWE's newest series, LFG, where aspirants are competing to earn themselves a WWE NXT contract. James has been seen alongside other legends like Booker T, Bully Ray and The Undertaker.
With the 10-time World Champion ready to make her return to the ring, it will be interesting to see her first performance back in the ring. Moreover, it might just set the tone for perhaps a last stint in WWE as an in-ring competitor, too.
