According to the report, the Matthew Tkachuk hit on Jake Guentzel will not have any disciplinary action

Matthew Tkachuk’s smacked that way across the shoulders of Guentzel. There wasn't going to be any discipline for the blow to Guentzel in Game 3 of the playoff "series" between the Panthers and Lightning. The NHL ruled there would be no further sanctions because Guentzel was playing the puck and not making contact with the head. Tkachuk's playing style does not change, even so much as during the playoffs; he is still a very important player for Florida in these playoffs.

He won't face a suspension for the hit on Jake Guentzel. Tkachuk got a five-minute major penalty for interference during the Tampa Bay Lightning's Game 3 of the playoff series against the Florida Panthers on Sunday. Late in the third period of the 5-1 loss, the event transpired. Although fans had high hopes, the game was not the most physical among the NHL franchises, and as such, there was no hearing.

By Matthew Tkachuk's hit: One more thing that the NHL passed through

The penalty for interference came with under five minutes left in the game, sending Tkachuk to the locker room for the night, but the debate ensued. Just one game earlier, Tampa Bay's Brandon Hagel had earned a five-minute major for a similar infraction against Florida's Sasha Barkov. Hagel was subsequently suspended for a game by the NHL Department of Player Safety, but Barkov made it back for Game 3.

Next game finds Matthew Tkachuk healthy and not suspended, a timely boon for the Florida Panthers. Brandon Hagel returns to Tampa Bay, restoring some badly needed depth and physicality for the Lightning in this series.
In the wake of Tkachuk's hit on Guentzel, the league declined to assess any supplementary penalty against the Florida winger, as cited by two points: Guentzel had already played the puck, and Tkachuk's check did not involve head contact. NHL insider David Pagnotta pointed out that these were the reasons why the league didn't proceed with filing the case against Tkachuk.

Tkachuk, among the Panthers' postseason best, has tallied three goals and assisted on another in the series. Tkachuk, bringing typical aggression along with his game, once more wowed fans with the anticipation that more such will follow as the series approaches the seventh game.
For Tkachuk, the aggressive style of play has always been a signifier of his game, and while there might have been drama concerning the hit on Guentzel, it is definitely accepted that the Panthers are using him as an enforcer in their arsenal of propelling energy into the performance. With the series heating up, Tkachuk's continued presence will definitely leave a mark for Florida as they push on in the postseason.

With the season heating up heading towards the 2025 NHL playoffs, it is not out of line to claim that the league has become more frictional. The Panthers and the Lightning both bring that rough, tough, hitting kind of hockey. As shown by this decision, even in the eyes of the board, there lies a fine line beyond where aggression crosses the legality barrier within the game. With another game just around the corner, the returning players are expected to make squads full for their respective teams, including Brandon Hagel after serving his suspension. The bitter rivalry between the two builds again adding excitement to this series' competition.
