The Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. turned 26 years old on Sunday and received well-wishes from not just fans but also his father. Vladimir Guerrero Jr Sr. penned down an emotional birthday note for his son, to make his special day even more memorable.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. turned 26 years old on Sunday and received a wholesome birthday tribute from his father. MLB insider Hector Gomez shared Guerrero Sr's birthday note for the Toronto Blue Jay star son via an X post. Along with the birthday note, the ex-MLB star also shared throwback pictures with his son and a message that read:
"Happy birthday to my firstborn! Watching you grow and achieve so much fills my heart with pride. You are a blessing, and I couldn't be prouder of the person you're becoming. May this new year bring you even more success and happiness. Love you always!"

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been quite fond of his father, who he finds as one of his biggest motivators. Last week, the Blue Jay star made headlines when he credited his father for his selfless support that helped him achieve great success in the league.
The first baseman's statement came during an interview with MLB Network, where he said:
“To me, we talk every day before and after the game, every day. No matter what, if I go 0 for 4, if I go 4 for 4, no matter what, he always call me. If I got a bad game, he told me good game. If I got a good game, he told me good game. You know, being here every day is a blessing."
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is set to be a free agent in 2026 following his rejection of a contract extension with the Blue Jays. As the season continues, the free agency drama spills more details to fans. Recently, Guerrero Jr. revealed one of the reasons for rejecting the extension. According to the first baseman, he received an offer less than what Juan Soto got from the Mets.
“It's much less than Soto. We're talking about many fewer million than Soto, more than a hundred million less. ... It was the same number of years (as Soto's contract), but it didn't reach ($600 million). The last number we gave them as a counteroffer didn't reach 600," Guerrero Jr. said in an interview with ESPN.
There's still almost a year left before Vladimir Guerrero Jr. goes free agent. Therefore, there's a good chance that he might receive an offer from the Blue Jays, that's better than the previous one. Nevertheless, next year's offseason will be an interesting one, with fans keeping their anticipation up for Guerrero Jr.'s signing.
