Brock Lesnar has been away from
WWE for almost two years after his name came up in the Vince McMahon Janel Grant lawsuit.
Brock Lesnar was one of the top draws for WWE for a lot of years. However, a setback emerged in his career after Lesnar's name was linked to the highly controversial
Vince McMahon Janel Grant lawsuit. In the legal proceedings, Grant had accused the former WWE Chairman Vince and EVP John Laurinitus of sex trafficking and sexual misconduct in 2024.
As the case came to light, Brock Lesnar's name was also dragged in the mix. It has been two years since the fans last saw Lesnar on WWE TV, and there is a new update regarding his return to the company which may not be a good news for the die-hard Lesnar fans who have been awaiting his return to WWE.
Is Brock Lesnar's return to WWE happening soon?
According to Ringside News' Steve Carrier on X, it has been reported that until the legal situation is not resolved, Brock Lesnar will not return to WWE television. Carrier stated that he spoke with both legal sides, and they are both looking to fight until the end of the case. He tweeted,
"Legal. They won’t bring him back until case is closed. I spoke with both lawyers from McMchon and Janel and either plan on backing down."Brock Lesnar has been a top draw for the WWE regime for many years. His last televised appearance was at the 2023 WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event. He battled Cody Rhodes in a losing effort and endorsed The American Nightmare after the match. Lesnar was supposed to make his return at the start of 2024 to begin a reported plan with The Ring General, Gunther.
However, those plans were scrapped after he was rumored to be involved in the aforementioned. There had been reports that WWE was trying to re-sign him in 2021 and offered to have Janel Grant send him explicit content as part of the deal. A meeting was also planned between Grant and Lesnar, but it did not happen due to weather issues.
Moreover, Brock Lesnar has recently been officially named in Janel Grant's lawsuit. While she has not sued Lesnar, she has sued McMahon and Laurinitus. Despite the ongoing battle that has Lesnar trapped in the middle, he is still one of the biggest WWE attractions of all time. So it remains to be seen if Lesnar's name will get cleared and could pave the way for his return to WWE.
