Satya Nadella, an influential technology leader and the CEO of Microsoft, has been at the helm of one of the world’s largest tech companies since 2014. It was under his leadership that Microsoft was led into a new era of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and mixed reality. Microsoft has surpassed Google in cloud computing revenue, outpaced Netflix in subscriber numbers, and achieved a market valuation close to a trillion dollars.
However, Nadela’s stint didn’t start in 2014, before that Nadella performed various roles in both enterprise and consumer businesses across the company. His journey with Microsoft began in 1992, but really soon he saw himself being promoted to leadership roles. Before Microsoft he also worked as a member of the technology staff at Sun Microsystems.

Two years later, he advanced to corporate vice president of Microsoft Business Solutions. From there on, Nadella just climbed ranks, proving his worth and capabilities. On February 4, 2014, Nadella became Microsoft’s CEO, making him the third person to hold the position in the company's nearly 40-year history, following co-founders Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer.
Satya Nadella’s leadership at Microsoft has been nothing short of transformative. Under his guidance, Microsoft has not only expanded its Azure cloud services but also made significant strides in artificial intelligence with innovations like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot.
