Natural Star Nani’s upcoming thriller Hit 3 is witnessing an impressive surge in momentum in the United States of America with early trends outperforming several of his past releases. With 10 days still left for premieres, the film has already grossed $64,227 ( Rs 55 lakhs) across 161 locations and 452 shows, selling 2,432 tickets—a strong indicator of growing interest among overseas audiences.
What’s particularly noteworthy is that Hit 3 is trending better than Nani's previous releases like Sarripoda Sanivaram and even Dasara at the same point in their respective pre-release windows, despite having fewer shows. This solid start speaks volumes about the anticipation surrounding the film and the power of the Hit franchise, which has built a dedicated following with each installment.
Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, Hit 3 marks the continuation of the suspense-crime universe that began with Hit: The First Case and expanded with Hit: The Second Case. Nani reprises his role as Arjun Sarkar, a fierce cop with a tormented past, stepping into darker, more intense territory as the stakes rise higher in this latest chapter.Nani takes over the reins of the franchise from Adivi Sesh from second installmet and Vishwak Sen was leading the first part.
The film’s gritty teasers and trailer has sparked curiosity, while Nani’s growing reputation for choosing unique and compelling stories has further boosted buzz. His performance in Dasara won accolades for its raw intensity, and fans are eager to see how he ups the ante in this investigative thriller.
In recent years, Telugu cinema has seen a strong uptick in U.S. interest, with fans showing growing enthusiasm for suspense-driven, well-acted films. Also there has been a huge increase in Telugu speaking audiences in the circuit, as it has become the 11th most spoken language in the country. Hit 3 seems to be capitalizing on that trend, with early bookings indicating the potential for a breakout premiere weekend.
With one more week of aggressive promotions, Nani and the team could push Hit 3 past the $100K mark even before the premiere night. If this pace continues, the film could be another feather in Nani’s cap overseas, setting the tone for a solid box office run both in India and internationally.
All eyes are now on April 30th as fans await the next gripping chapter in the Hit universe.
