When Rani Mukerji spoke about conceiving a baby at the age of 37, here's what husband Aditya Chopra told her: ' I was completely consumed...'

Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra married in 2014 and welcomed their daughter Adira in 2015. Rani took a break from her career after Adira's birth, fully embracing motherhood. When Rani Mukerji spoke about conceiving a baby at the age of 37, here's what husband Aditya Chopra told her: ' I was completely consumed...'
Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra tied the knot in April 2014. They announced the birth of their daughter in 2015. In an earlier interview, Rani had spoken about how she completely forgot her career when she had a baby. The actress started doing lesser work after her daughter Adira's birth. But it was husband Aditya Chopra who inspired her to get back to movies.
The actress had spoken about having a baby quite late. She said during a chat with Pinkvilla, "I obviously had my baby when I was I think 37 or 38, which is very very late. And I was completely consumed in my child because at 37 when you have a baby you feel you are the only mother who has given birth to a child. So I was completely immersed in my role of motherhood. So to speak my husband nodded, nudged me and said, 'Hello, You are Rani Mukherjee. You need to go back to the arclights. Your child is born. She will grow up. She will have her own life. But you cannot forget who you are. Your fans are waiting for you, so you need to go back to work.' And that's when I did Hitchki when my daughter was 14 months."
She added, "As an actor, I channelise all my emotions and energy into my work. I feel the vacuum of my father, but instead of crying and brooding over it, I channelise the emotions. Adira is a very playful child and stays without me when I am working."

Do you think Rani Mukerji should prioritize her career over her role as a mother?

Known for staying away from the limelight, Aditya Chopra has always maintained a low profile, and Rani Mukerji has followed the same approach when it comes to their daughter, Adira. The couple has consistently kept Adira out of the public eye and have never revealed her face to the media.
On the work front, Rani was last seen in Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway. She is now gearing up for her next release, Mardaani 3.
