Bevy of stars to flag off T20 tourney at the Eden Gardens
Kolkata is set to host the much-anticipated IPL opening ceremony at Eden Gardens on Saturday. The first match of the tournament will also be held in the city on the same day. Speaking to us, a source from Eden Gardens said, “The opening ceremony will last around 40-45 minutes before the match. As of now, we know that Shreya Ghoshal, Disha Patani, and Karan Aujla will be
performing.

Additionally, it is highly likely that the captains of all participating IPL teams will be present at the ceremony.” When asked if Shah Rukh Khan will be there too, the source said, “Most likely, but fingers crossed on that.”

As per IPL regulations, the defending champion’s home ground hosts the opening ceremony. “So this year, Eden Gardens is getting that honour,” the source added.

According to reports, speculations are rife that Arijit Singh, Shraddha Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan may also be present at the opening ceremony.
