DELHI ELECTION RESULTS 2025
Delhi witnessed a high stakes election on February 5 as residents cast their votes to determine the city’s next government, with results expected on February 8. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) faces a stiff challenge from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), while the Congress hopes to break its decade-long electoral drought and regain a foothold in the capital's politics.
Voter turnout
The Election Commission of India reported a voter turnout of 60.42 percent across the 70 constituencies. Among the districts, North East Delhi saw the highest participation with a turnout of 66.25 percent, while South East Delhi recorded the lowest at 56.16 percent.
Exit poll predictions
Exit polls released after the conclusion of voting suggest a competitive race. Most polls indicate the BJP is on track to form the next government, leaving AAP trailing. However, predictions vary, with one poll suggesting the BJP could secure 51-60 seats, while two others forecast an AAP victory. The Congress, meanwhile, is expected to continue its disappointing performance in the assembly elections.
