Actor Lee Jung-jae graced the shores of Haeundae in Busan, adding his star power to the festivities of ‘Star Wars Day’. The coastal city became a hive of interstellar activity as Walt Disney Company Korea planned a celebration spanning May 4 and 5, marking the annual homage to the iconic franchise.

Lee Jung-jae also participated in the 'Star Wars Day Special Talk Session' at the main venue on May 4. As the first Korean actor to join the Star Wars universe, excitement surged as he revealed an exclusive glimpse of ‘The Acolyte’, a newly produced special clip tailored for Korean fans. Lee Jung-jae stepped into the spotlight, introducing his character, the mysterious Jedi Master ‘Master Sol’.



The actor's excitement spilled over onto social media, where Lee Jung-jae shared snapshots of the event. Clad in an outfit of dark blue accented by black boots, he radiated warmth, as he interacted with a multitude of fans, exchanging handshakes and radiant smiles. His cheerful attitude extended onto the stage, where he addressed the crowd with enthusiasm.




For Walt Disney Company Korea, May 4 is more than a date; it's a cosmic celebration, echoing the iconic phrase ‘May the Force be with you’. Since 2015, ‘Star Wars Day’ has been a global phenomenon, and this year's event in Korea was no exception. Designed to enchant both die-hard fans and casual observers alike, the festivities unfolded against the picturesque backdrop of Haeundae Beach.

The ‘Star Wars Day Special Talk Session’ served as the centerpiece, accompanied by a mesmerizing multimedia drone spectacle set to the franchise's beloved themes. Against the canvas of the night sky, 800 drones danced in harmony, weaving tales of galactic conflict with iconic characters like Darth Vader and Yoda. Lightsaber duels and epic battles painted a mesmerizing tableau overhead, enchanting audiences below.


Adding to the spectacle, a sand art is installed on the sandy shores of Haeundae, standing 15 meters wide, 10 meters long, and 5 meters high. This sandy tribute brought to life the beloved characters of Star Wars. Meanwhile, the global release of ‘The Acolyte’, the latest original series from the Star Wars universe, is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on June 5.
