‘Squid Game’ star Lee Jung Jae bags ‘Best Actor’ award at the Critics Choice Awards 2022

South Korean actor Lee Jung Jae continues to create history with his recent big win at the annual 27th ‘Critics’ Choice Awards held in Los Angeles. He became the first Korean actor to take took home the titles of ‘Best Actor’ in the Drama Series category for his hit show ‘Squid Game’.

South Korean actor Lee Jung Jae continues to create history with his recent big win at the annual 27th ‘Critics’ Choice Awards held in Los Angeles. He became the first Korean actor to take home the titles of ‘Best Actor’ in the Drama Series category for his hit show ‘Squid Game’.

While he made a stunning entry to the red carpet event, he also won hearts with his acceptance speech where he thanked god.
He said, “Thank you to everyone who supported 'Squid Game'. It's really hard to put to words how I'm feeling. Thank you."
The drama also won ‘Best Foreign Language Series’ at the Critics Choice Awards 2022.
Apart from Lee Jung Jae, Jung Ho Yeon and Park Hae Soo were also part of the annual ceremony and served as presenters during the event.
The 27th annual Critics Choice Awards that was originally slated to take place on 9 January, was postponed owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. It aired on 13 March.
