According to GQ website, if finalized, Park Sung Hoon will star opposite Han Ji Min, who recently gained praise for her role in Love Scout. The drama would mark their first on-screen collaboration. However, BH Entertainment clarified that Park Sung Hoon’s casting is not confirmed yet, as another actor is being considered as a higher priority. Also, the post-credits scene of Squid Game Season 2 offered a glimpse of the fourth game, featuring three players, including the heavily indebted #100, facing a boy-shaped robot, seemingly a male counterpart to the infamous Red Light, Green Light doll.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, creator Hwang Dong-hyuk shed light on the teaser and its implications for Season 3. He confirmed that the new robot doll, named "Cheol-su," will be part of "the most exciting game in Season 3."
"That's actually a preview of Cheol-su, who will be featured in the most exciting game of Season 3. While details haven't been shared yet, I hope everyone is excited to meet Cheol-su and the new game," he shared.
Additionally, a flashing train signal and a partial view of a faux house in the teaser suggest a mysterious new challenge, adding to the intrigue of the upcoming season.
