Exclusive! Barun Sobti and Bidita Bag on MxPlayer’s ‘The Missing Stone’: ‘Every scene has it’s own charm to keep you hooked till the end’

MxPlayer’s ongoing web series ‘The Missing Stone’ just dropped in, and is being extremely well received by the audience. This series is the perfect binge watch opportunity to keep you on the edge, as it has all the elements of horror, thriller, with a pinch of suspense and crime. Helmed by Vishal Furia & Alok Naik, the series sees Bidita Bag & Barun Sobti along with Rashi Mal, Saqib Ayub, Vitthal Kale, Pallavi Patil in pivotal roles.ETimes got in touch with the Barun and Bidita, to congratulate for the series, and talk about the shooting experience.
The shooting experience of the the 5 episodic drama has been interesting, as both the actors had shot during the lockdown and the first unlock period. Barun shared, “The shooting experience has been very unique. This was the first time we shot during the lockdown. It was very well researched”. He also added, “We had a great bunch of people to work with”. When asked about a particular scene which fans should look out for he said, “I can’t give out much….but there were a few jumping scenes, which I had fun to shoot. There are a few jaw-dropping kind of moments”.
Meanwhile, Bidita also added,“Shooting experience was actually great and interesting, We shot during the first unlock period”. The actress who also shares an avid love for travelling shared ecstatically, “We shot at a hill station. We are showing the location as Lonavala on-screen, but we found a fantastic location near Kolhapur..We shot at a resort. Resort was at a hill top. View was beautiful, always surrounded between.
Speaking about working with Vishal Furia, Bidita expressed that he is a great director, and feels extremely blessed working with him. She also added, “Vishal Furia excels in two genres - horror and thriller.. It was extremely great to have co-actors like Rashi, Pallavi, and Barun…So it was superb”

She also revealed, that there was risk during the shoot, but made sure to make the series happen..”but thoda risk tha…we were shooting just right after the lockdown restrictions were put off. If someone even used to sneeze, we used to get scared”.The actress also shared, “Grandeur hai, we shot the series in a very realistic manner..every scene has its own charm”.
“This is Shweta Shinde’s franchise. She thought of bringing up the series. In the month of August, it was planned to shoot something for the pan India audience. Kuch creative bhi Karne ko milegaaa…kuch logo ko kaam bhi milegaa” commented Bidita.
On an ending note, she was recollects the shooting days and shared, “the story was even crafted in less time.During the lockdown, it was indeed challenging to craft out a story with limited resources and limited people. Nature was working in favour of the project”. (Smiles)
