The speculation has led to theories that the trailers may be divided, with one focusing on #TeamGreen - Alicent, Aemond, AegonII and Ser Criston and one for #TeamBlack - Rhaenyra, Daemon, Rhaenys and Corlys, further fueling the excitement among fans.

Originally slated for August 2024, the release of Season 2 is now expected to hit HBO Max in June 2024, offering fans a shorter wait period but a slightly reduced episode count.

Season 2 continues the saga based on George R.R. Martin's "Fire and Blood," promising to delve deeper into the tumultuous history of the Targaryen dynasty. With Martin himself describing the initial episodes as "very dark," and the recent teaser trailer hinting at a significant death toll, fans can expect another intense and gripping season.
The return of key characters such as Rhaenyra Targaryen, portrayed by Emma D'Arcy, and Queen Alicent, played by Olivia Cooke, ensures that the power struggles for the Iron Throne will continue unabated. Additionally, Matt Smith's Prince Daemon and Eve Best's Princess Rhaenys are set to return to fortify the defence of Rhaenyra's claim.

With Rhys Ifans and Fabien Frankel reprising their roles as Otto Hightower and Ser Criston Cole, respectively, alongside Aegon and Alicent, the stage is set for another thrilling chapter.
