The reunion between Matt Murdock and Kingpin that fans have been waiting for, was finally revealed thanks to new leaked photos from the sets of 'Daredevil: Born Again'.
Charlie Cox and
Vincent D'Onofrio were seen suited up as they shot a scene on the busy streets. The interesting detail that was impossible to miss, was a cap with the words 'Fisk Can Fix It', setting the ball rolling for a rumoured Kingpin mayoral campaign.
The photos see the two stars in costume, sharing a light moment off-camera. The two men, who play arch-rivals in the series, were also seen shooting a couple of intense sequences. Photos doing the rounds even saw them shooting in what appears to be a diner.
Fisk running for mayor was teased in the post-credit sequence in 'Echo'. The show laid the groundwork for Wilson Fisk in this developing Daredevil storyline, and potential fourth MCU Spider-Man instalment.
The scene portrays Fisk aboard his private plane following his defeat by Maya Lopez, making his way back to New York. While onboard, he tunes into a news program discussing the absence of a formidable mayoral candidate for the city, emphasizing the need for a "fighter."
As the Echo post-credits scene concludes, it becomes evident that a mayoral bid for the Kingpin is on the horizon, mirroring a storyline directly derived from the comic books. Interestingly, the actor did not seem to have the same sars on his face, as seen in the previous show.
Initially scheduled for a 2024 release,' Daredevil: Born Again' marks the MCU resurgence of Netflix's Daredevil series, showcasing Charlie Cox reprising his role as Matt Murdock, the blind lawyer who transforms into a vigilante by night, alongside Vincent D'Onofrio portraying Marvel's notorious crime lord.
