He said while talking to The Buzz that he’s "locked in and focused" on the project and he is determined to give his best shot in the film. He also said that this film is very special to him. “I’m going to do everything in my power to bring him to life in a way that resonates with the people and celebrates that character,” he said.
The project began filming earlier this month in Los Angeles. Talking about filming, DC was being criticized because of the ‘Justice League’ 2017 which left fans angry as it completely changed the tone of DC, but the release of Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’ in 2021 restored fans' hopes.

Moreover, another highly anticipated project ‘Superman’ starring David Corenswet, is set to be released this year.
‘Lanterns’ was announced in January 2023 as part of DC’s new slate. The series will be led by showrunner Chris Mundy, with James Hawes directing the first two episodes.
Pierre will star alongside Kyle Chandler, who plays Hal Jordan, another famous Green Lantern. In the series, Hal Jordan will serve as a reluctant mentor to John Stewart as they work together on a dark, Earth-based mystery while investigating a murder.
The series is set to premiere on HBO’s streaming service, Max, in 2026. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how Aaron Pierre brings John Stewart to life in this highly anticipated DC series.
