Watch: How ICG prevents narcotics and arms smuggling bids in Indian waters

Be it land, water or air, brave personnel of Indian Coast Guards have ensured India’s maritime security for decades. These jawans are committed to thwart nefarious attempts of the enemies. To tackle narco-arms smuggling nexus, ICG conducted extensive operations off Gujarat coast. The personnel conducted searches at 36 uninhabited islands near OKha and Sir Creek area. Equipped with indigenous ‘Amogh’ carbines, jawans demonstrated how it carries out surprise raids. Around 44 Pakistani, 7 Iranian smugglers were apprehended by IGG personnel in 2022.
