Goa CM Pramod Sawant says state considering banning 'aggressive dog breeds'

On the occasion of ‘World Rabies Day’, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on September 29 said that Goa is the first state in the country that is ‘Rabies free’. He also said that the Goa government would ensure that the dogs coming from outside will be vaccinated. “Goa is the first state in the country that is 'Rabies free'. Today, on the occasion of World Rabies Day, Mission Rabies has organised this program here to raise awareness about controlling Rabies. All dogs in Goa are vaccinated and we will work to ensure that the dogs coming from outside are also vaccinated. To control the dog population in the state, Goa govt is also taking up the project to sterilise dogs...” said Pramod Sawant.
