Mazhya Navryachi Bayko: Isha Keskar quits the show, Rasika Sunil to be back as Shanaya

Television show, Mazhya Navryachi Bayko managed to hook viewers for four years with its interesting plots. Rasika Sunil played the character of Shanaya in the show for two years but she had to quit the show in order to complete her studies. It was then, that the Jai Malhar actress Isha Keskar stepped into her shoes. However, it has now been confirmed that Rasika Sunil will again be back on Mazhya Navryachi Bayko as Shanaya.
According to sources, the shoots were shut down due to the lockdown imposed amid the coronavirus scare and the Mazhya Navyrachi Bayko team was shooting episodes from their respective homes. Isha Keskar was also a part of it but as shoots resumed, she decided to take a break from television owing her personal commitments.
In an exclusive chat with ETimes TV, Isha Keskar had earlier spoken about Rasika and her onscreen character Shanaya. She said, “I feel Rasika had already nailed that character tremendously. It was challenging for me but I accepted the offer. Honestly, I love old Shanaya as a viewer which Rasika played. I was worried about how people will respond and how the audience is going to accept me as Shanaya. It was a matter of time. As time passed by, people started accepting me Shanaya. I also got a negative response initially. People said to me that old Shanaya was better but I took their feedback sportingly and worked on my character. The audience indirectly gave me the opinion and that’s what I how learned".
Once again, it would be a treat to watch Rasika Sunil as Shanaya.
