Actor Kiran Mane, who is a well-known Marathi actor, recently got axed from the TV show Mulgi Zali Ho. The actor was playing the role of Vilas Patil on-screen and his character was widely popular and acclaimed. Kiran got axed from the show overnight and many actors from the industry are extending their support to Kiran and slamming the makers. Recently, actress Anita Date Kelkar who was a co-actor of
Kiran Mane in Majhya Navryachi Bayko recently showed her support to him and wrote a lengthy note on Facebook about the system and slammed the makers of the show.
Anita Date Kelkar wrote on Facebook, "As an actress, I am by the side of Kiran Mane. It is wrong to dismiss any actor/actress without giving them any preconceived notice or any explanation or reason. Such production houses and channels should be kind enough to give the artist a good reason to be fired. I oppose such systems".
Anita further wrote that she feels it was an immature decision of the show makers to axe an actor. She said, "I think it's really good to understand the system, to question the system, to be able to articulate your political views in the right way. I appreciate Kiran Mane for that. It is wrong to strangle a person instead of understanding his post. If our political role is different then we can argue with that person, we can discuss it with him. But shutting his mouth, threatening him, axing him from his work, is a sign that we as a society are immature and backward".
Many actors are showing support to Kiran Mane and slamming the makers of the TV show for their decision.
