The role of Prof Jayanti and the sarees she wore amassed a whole lot of fans for Asha Sarath. The actress managed to excel in her big screen avatars too and what is more, the serial crew had to ‘kill’ her character Prof Jayanti on Kumkumappoovu!
The character, who was the mother of the female lead Shalini played by Shelly Kishore, was Asha Sarath’s stepping stone into the world of acting after a break of 14 years.She has acted in many serials including Indulekha, Alapanam, Kalathilakam, Jathaka Kathakal and Michaelinte Santhathikal in the past.
