Bigg Boss Malayalam 5 Winner: Akhil Marar lifts the trophy, takes home Rs 50 Lakhs and a brand new car

The much-awaited result is here! Director Akhil Marar has lifted the Bigg Boss Malayalam 5 trophy. The contestant won the show by outshining inmate Reneesha Rahiman by a high margin. In the gala finale, the winner received the trophy from superstar host Mohanlal and eminent TV personality K Madhavan. He has also taken home the prize money of Rs 50 Lakhs and a brand new car.Seetha Kalyanam actress Reneesha emerged as the second runner-up in the competition.
Five finalists of the season competed for the title this time. Shiju AR got evicted from the finale first further Sobha left the competition in the 4th position. In a tight competition, Junaiz lost his second place for Reneesha.

Besides the competition, the grand event staged a variety of entertainment for the viewers. From the dance performances of evicted contestants to the comedy skits led by former contestants Sooraj and Noby, the finale stage was full-on entertainment.
Director Akhil Marar was one of the best performers in the season. Be it his humorous avatars, funny interactions with Sobha, or brilliant gaming, he was the center of attraction many times. However, his anger issues and alleged misogynist ideologies drew stiff criticism too. But, his love for fellow inmates was much appreciated too.

Bigg Boss Malayalam 5, hosted by superstar Mohanlal, had its grand launch on March 26th. The show welcomed 18 contestants from different walks of life to the show. Later, three wildcard entrants also joined them in the competition. After the surprising eviction of contestant Cerena, five contestants, Shiju AR, Reneesha Rahiman,Junaiz VP, Sobha Viswanath, and Akhil Marar emerged as the finalists of the season.
