'Yediyuru Sri Siddhalingeshwara' completes 500 episodes

Kannada devotional daily soap Yediyuru Sri Siddhalingeshwara has completed 500 episodes successfully. The show is being aired on a leading Kannada general entertainment channel in the primetime slot.
The devotional show is based on the life of the revered Sharan saint Yediyuru Sri Siddhalingeshwara, who travelled far and wide preaching the Veerashaiva faith (Shaivism).He performed 12 years of penance at a garden (Thota) and hence, he is known as Thontada Siddalingeshwara Swamy. He headed the Murugi muth and had many disciples.
Directed by Naveen Krishna, the show has a strong star cast which includes Harish Raj, Vinay Gowda, Vallabh Suri, Nayana, Harshala Honey, Jyothi Rai, Jyoti Kiran, and many others.
Theatre artist Vallabh Suri made his small screen debut in the titular role. The actor is portraying adult Siddhalingeshwara in the show. While Harish Raj and Harshala are seen playing the role of Siddhalingeshwara's parents, Nayana and Jyoti Kiran are also playing prominent roles.
The show also marks the comeback of actor Vinay Gowda as Lord Shiva yet again. This is the second time the actor essayed the role of Lord Shiva in his career. However, he bid adieu to the show mid-way owing to personal reasons. Later, actor Aryan Surya replaced Vinay Gowda as Lord Shiva.
On the other hand, Jyothi Rai essays the role of Goddess Parvathi in the show.
