Actress Sharanya Shetty has traversed an incredible path from her days as a beauty pageant contestant to becoming a recognized name in the entertainment industry. In an exclusive conversation with ETimesTV, Sharanya opened up about her early experiences in the world of television.
Reflecting on the differences between her modeling career and her transition to acting, Sharanya candidly remarked, "There is a lot of difference between being a top model and a newcomer in the entertainment industry. Since I am a recognized face in modeling, I would receive significant respect from the industry. But things were completely different when I ventured into acting."
She went on to elaborate on her challenging initial days, stating, "There were times when I had to wait an entire day for my shot. This made me feel neglected. I have never been treated like this in my entire life."
Despite making her television debut in the widely acclaimed show 'Gattimela,' it was no easy feat for Sharanya to attain fame. She admitted, "Earning fame was never an easy task for me. Although I had previously acted in a movie, I did not gain much recognition. I thought at least 'Gattimela' would provide me with the fame I had always yearned for. Nevertheless, it took time for people to recognize me."
Recalling a heartwarming incident, Sharanya said, "I used to travel by BMTC bus to college earlier. On one occasion, I noticed a woman watching 'Gattimela' on her mobile. Coincidentally, it was the episode that marked my debut in the show. I felt elated knowing that people were watching the show."
