Portraying lower middle-class mother is challenging: Yamuna Srinidhi

Actress Yamuna Srinidhi has signed a new serial called Kanyakumari, in which she is essaying the role of mother once again in her career. The serial is written, directed and produced by Raghu Charan Tiptur.
Spilling the beans about her character in the serial, Yamuna Srinidhi says, “Dhanalakshmi is a typical lower middle-class innocent yet a very responsible mother, for whom her family and children mean the world. She struggles to lead the family as her husband is an irresponsible guy. She still fights against all odds to ensure her children have a bright future. "I am the male protagonist's mother in the serial. I have portrayed the role of a mother earlier in my career, but what stands apart in Dhanalakshmi is her language.”
Currently, she is also acting in Shivarajkumar’s film Bairagi. The serial also has Asiya Firdose, Nakul Sharma, Anu, Swathi H V, Sahana, Sanvi and Rashmitha in pivotal roles. The show is likely to go on air from August.
