Not more working for Dara Singh
Veteran actor Dara Singh is off work now – officially. It’s a well-thought-out decision taken collectively by his family.
Besides staying off-screen, the versatile actor will not pursue politics either. Confirming it, Singh’s elder son Vindu Dara Singh said, “Dad has worked enough and now it’s time for him to relax.”
Sources in the family said, “Old injuries, which he sustained during his wrestling days have also begun to re-surface these days and also, he wasn’t keeping well.
So the family members requested him to stay at home.” However, Singh plans to travel a lot. “He will be at our Chandigarh home for three months and for the rest of the time, he will be in Mumbai,” said Vindu.
But since Since loves to work, it’s getting difficult for him to sit idle, says Vindu. “Yes, he’s finding it all extremely boring, but then my daughter Amelia pitched in and she convinced her granddad that she will keep him busy,” said Vindu. He added, “The All India Jat Mahasabha (AIJM) of which dad was the president, also asked him to stay on, however, the family decided that he should leave that position too.”
On the other hand, Singh is trying to get into the groove of things. He’s doing mild exercises, yoga to stay fit. “He often goes for a walk with Amelia,” said a source. Now that’s what we call ideal real post-retirement days, kyun?
