Actress
Madalsa Sharma aka
Kavya from the TV show Anupama is enjoying shooting on the sets of the show, where a sequence for
Holi has been shot. We spoke to the actress about her Holi plans and here's what she had to say: "There aren't any specific plans for Holi this year. The weather this year is extremely hot and so I don't feel like going out and playing. But I remember how we used to play as kids in the hot sun."
The pandemic changed people's lives in the last two years, but things are getting back to normal now.
She says, "In the past two years due to COVID, we couldn't enjoy the festival to the fullest. But I guess now that things are better, people will be enjoying the festival a lot more. I plan to relax and celebrate Holi indoors. Also I will be shooting."
Recounting the good old days, she says, "Holi is always exciting to play with friends and family. There used to be events and parties organised every year. I miss the rain dances and water balloons during this festival. It's also a great time to meet people. Sometimes we meet friends who we haven't met for a long time. Holi is all about spreading cheer and getting together."
This year, she may not play much but she says she feels she has celebrated the festival in a way, owing to her shoot. "I feel I have already celebrated Holi because we shot for a sequence on the sets. It was fun," she says.
Meanwhile, she is enjoying her work. It's been over a year that she has been playing Kavya on the show. Ask her if it gets monotonous at times and she says, "It's been a year- and-a-half now that Anupama is running on television. The best part of the show is that they don't stretch any particular story track for so long that audiences get bored of it. That's the reason why as an actor too, I don't feel that I am doing something monotonous. As a performer, I feel I have grown. This role gives me scope to portray a variety of emotions. There is never boredom when we are shooting for Anupama," she says.
