Actors and close friends Reem Shaikh and Jannat Zubair recently embarked on a spiritual journey to Madina for Umrah. The duo, who were also partners on Laughter Chefs, shared glimpses of their pilgrimage, capturing heartfelt moments from their flight to the holy city.
Reem was seen in a pristine white abaya, while Jannat opted for an elegant satin lavender abaya. Their journey together highlights their deep bond and shared faith, making this religious trip even more special. The two have always been vocal about their beliefs and had previously discussed their Ramadan experiences on Sana Khan’s vlogs.

Jannat reminisced about her first experiences of fasting, sharing, “I started keeping roza when I was 11 or 12 years old. In 2014, while shooting for Maharana Pratap, we stayed on set in Amgaon throughout Ramadan. It was a beautiful experience celebrating back then. During Iftaar, everyone would gather in the evening, and they would ask us what we wanted to eat. Whatever we requested, they would prepare. Around 70-80 people would sit together, creating a warm and communal atmosphere.”

Reem also reflected on her personal spiritual journey, revealing how her faith has grown over the years. She shared, “Had you met me four years ago, I was a different person. Now, I have changed completely. I was lost, but Allah guided me to the right path. Many things happened in my life that I will remember till my last breath. Coming from an inter-religious family, I was never forced to adapt to anything—neither by my parents nor by anyone else. For me, belonging to a family that gave me my own identity is important. To die as a Muslim will be a blessing for me.”

Reem Sheikh: I’m the happiest to do the show with Jannat as she’s my childhood bestie
