Gulfam Khan: A wedding track can get exhausting...but am enjoying shooting for it

Gulfam Khan, who is currently seen in the show Gehna Zevar Ya Zanjeer, will be part of a big wedding track in the show. Her character Janki bua will get married in the show and it will be a big fat wedding. Gulfam said, “Now after many twists and turns and surprising events in the show, an interesting track has opened up. Janki Bua’s special friend has come back into her life and the family is getting her married to him. So we are having a big wedding track with mehendi and sangeet.”
Sharing further, Gulfam said, “It is interesting how makers are showing middle-aged characters and their weddings in TV shows. Our show addresses mental health issues and domestic abuse. These are serious concerns that need to be brought to light. It’s never okay for a spouse to abuse the other, and these issues need to be addressed.” When asked if she enjoys shooting special sequences like weddings or festivals, Gulfam said, “I enjoy shooting these wedding scenes but at the end of the day you are exhausted. The only thing that troubles me is the heat. In summer it is not easy wearing jewellery and heavy costumes.”
Gulfam also shared how she enjoys playing roles which are written well. She said, “It’s such a beautifully written role. But as an actor, I’m never satisfied — I crave for some action-packed sequences. Luckily, our creative team gives us a lot of freedom. Sometimes, I even add my own flavor to dialogues. It has been interesting shooting for the show."
