Holi, the festival of colors, is a bright and auspicious occasion that reflects the arrival of spring and the victory of good over evil. Actor Abhishek Sharma recalls his childhood memories of Holi celebrations. He is currently seen playing the lead role of Devansh in family drama Vasudha.
He said, "Holi brings a riot of colours, laughter, and sheer excitement. I remember the festival was one of my favourites ever since I was a child. A day before Holi celebrations, my friends and I used to be all prepared with the colours, pichkaris, water balloons, and smart strategies, for a thrilling Holi experience, without worrying about the mess. I miss those carefree days, when we used to do anything and everything innocently, and escape saying.. Bura Na Mano Holi Hai.. (laughs). We friends used to celebrate Holi all day, moving around the locality and exploring the whereabouts of the celebration and joining in among other groups to play."
He continued, "Now we all are grown up and are responsible. We understand the values and significance of the festival. Now we celebrate an Eco-Friendly Holi, which is more about organic colours and less water pichkaris or balloons. It is more about eating and dancing to keep the Holi spirit alive! I always believe while the festival is all about joy, a few smart choices can ensure that the fun doesn't turn into a nightmare."
He added, "One of the beautiful Holi memories used to be about visiting grandmother's home (Dadi's place) in Muzaffarnagar.. We used to live in Meerut. It used to be family time, enjoying and eating festival food. As the festival used to fall after annual exams and used to be a long holiday from studies and school."
He concluded sharing his Holi plans for the current year and extending his festival greetings. "I'm shooting, and Holi shall be an off for me. So I'm all set to enjoy the festival. I will be meeting my friends and will make sure to enjoy the festival food such as crispy samosas, pakoras, Dahi Bhalla and gujiya galore. I'm excited, Now I like to keep it less party vibes."
"Let’s fill this Holi with sweet memories, endless laughter, and the brightest colours! Let's celebrate a joyous and colourful Holi," he ended.
