Young actor Paras Arora, who is currently shooting out of Maharashtra for his show Kaatelal & Sons, recently spoke to ETimes TV exclusively and shared how grateful he is to get work during the pandemic. He also talked about staying away from home and how he is always worried about his family, especially his mother.
"It was a very difficult call because even last year during the pandemic everything had come to a standstill.
Luckily, this time the production houses came up with alternative plans of shooting the show outside Maharashtra in a bio-bubble at a resort. So right now we are shooting at a resort and we are not allowed to go outside and nobody is allowed to come and meet us. We are shooting and taking a lot of precautions. It is a big responsibility actually to take the entire team to another location and conduct shoots. We had to undergo tests and then all the people who tested negative were shifted to the new location. It was a huge task and there was a change in the storyline which again was a big task. But we are happy that the writers and the production people did a great job and we were finally able to give entertainment to our audience. We are glad that we are able to entertain people in such a testing time. We all have seen either our family members or friends going through a difficult time because of the pandemic. We consider ourselves lucky that we are able to provide entertainment to the people. We have taken a kind of risk as we are staying away from our families and working for the audiences," he said.
Paras keeps calling his mother and checking on her if she is doing fine as she is in Mumbai and his father is in Uttrakhand with his grandmother, "It is very difficult to stay away from family as my mom is in Mumbai and I just keep calling and checking on her. It is always at the back of our mind that she is doing well or not? My grandmother and father are in Uttarakhand and I am here so right now we all are at different locations. We can’t even travel during such a situation. My brother is in Noida and it is very difficult for all of us. But I think we are just grateful that we are at home and safe. We are trying to manage things," shared the actor.
He further added, "Last year, we were not aware of the virus and the impact of it so we had no other option but to completely go under lockdown and understand it. Things were getting slowly back on track but the second wave turned out to be more dangerous than the first one. But during last year people suffered such huge losses and they are still recovering from it, and again stopping work was not a good idea. It would have been very frustrating to not work again for 6 months and there are many people who are still home and are not able to work. I feel we should be very thankful that we have work during the pandemic."
