Exclusive- Ishita Ganguly opens up about her character of Chamkeeli in new show Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain; says, “It is more than just a negative character”

The much-anticipated drama Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain promises a gripping tale of power, betrayal, and rivalry. At its core is the dynamic rivalry between two strong characters—Chaina, the lively and clever youngest daughter-in-law played by Diksha Dhami, and Chamkeeli, the cunning and complex eldest daughter-in-law portrayed by Ishita Ganguly.


Opening up about her character, Ishita shared, “People think my character of Chamkeeli is a negative character, but it’s way more than that. It has different shades and many things in the show revolve around her.”


She further explained, “There’s a lot to Chamkeeli than just a grey or negative character. She’s layered, complex, and has her own reasons for doing what she does. It’s a refreshing change for me, and I’m enjoying the process of portraying her. I’m very excited for my fans to see me play this role. It’s very different and new from what I’ve previously done.”
