Renowned actress Indira Krishna has joined the cast of Dhruv Tara - Samay Sadi Se Pare, led by Ishaan Dhawan and Riya Sharma. Indira will be playing the role of Queen Durgavati, the Queen of Devgarh.
Indira spoke to ETimes TV all about her role and also how she prepped up for it. Speaking about the upcoming sequence, she said, “It is the role of a Queen of Devgarh.
She is a very powerful Queen. She has two sons played by Karan Grover and Anuj Sachdeva. The elder son is sitting on the throne now and the entire thing revolves around this Queen, who wants a new heir for the kingdom. Now, there’s a child coming through Tara. The Queen thinks she is married.”

“Also, her terms and conditions are very strict. Her equation with her second son is also very different. He is bit on the negative side and she is very strict with him. The kingdom is ruled by Durgavati. She has two bahus. One is Sona Chandi, she has a humourous role. And there’s Tara, who she thinks is married to Pratap,” she added.

The actress also spoke about taking up a historical character for the first time. She said, “This is the first time I am playing a historical character. The dressing, talking, I have used Rajasthani tone. I am pulling it off so far. I am very happy with the kind of DMs I am getting on social media. I am very grateful to be a part of this show. The makers wanted someone with a ruling power persona and they signed me. I have a special tutor to teach me the diction.”
