In the latest episode of Celebrity MasterChef, contestants faced a tense elimination round as they donned their black aprons. Among those at risk were Rajiv Adatia, Kabita, Abhijeet Sawant, Nikki Tamboli, and Dipika Kakar.
Guest chef Pooja Dhingra introduced the contestants to Croquembouche, a classic French dessert, challenging them to create their own unique versions. As the challenge progressed, tensions ran high. Midway through, Dipika Kakar made a bold move by giving away her immunity pin after struggling to perfect the dessert. Initially eager to give it her best shot, Abhijeet Sawant expressed his concerns, saying, “I am good with savory dishes, but pastry or bakery is like chemistry—you have to be precise with ingredients. There is no room for mistakes.”
The episode also had a Valentine’s Day theme, with contestants dressed in shades of pink and red. Adding to the special occasion, Shoaib Ibrahim and Arbaz Khan made surprise appearances to support their partners, Dipika and Nikki.
While Rajiv Adatia impressed the judges with his Croquembouche, Abhijeet’s attempt fell short. He admitted that he struggled with the size and consistency of the dessert. Judge Vikas Khanna remarked, “Aaj hamara bachha ghabra gaya” (Our child got nervous today).
Abhijeet found himself in the bottom two alongside Kabita. Before leaving, he shared his heartfelt gratitude, saying, “This was an incredible opportunity. We eat and enjoy food, but here I truly understood the effort and dedication behind every dish. Cooking in the presence of such esteemed chefs and having them taste my creations was an honor.”
Judge Farah Khan, visibly emotional, said, “I hope we get you back in wild cards if there is any.” Her words carried added sentiment, as she had previously judged Indian Idol, where Abhijeet made history as the show's first-ever winner. His elimination left a bittersweet impact on the judges and audience alike.
